Our Story

On June 6, 2021, a husband, father, brother, son, and friend, completed suicide. The lives of many were changed with the loss of one. In June of 2022, while his surviving wife, children, and friends were planning for the first of many charity events, one of his children asked if they could start their own non-profit instead of donating the proceeds to other non-profits. His idea was simple-he wanted to use their tragedy to help others-in a BIG way.

Fuck Suicide Foundation

Many times people fight their demons alone, not wanting to burden or worry their loved ones.  Sometimes they seek help, unfortunately more and more barriers make it difficult. What barriers? Barriers such as health insurance with extraordinary deductibles and/or co-pays, losing health insurance due to changing jobs or the loss of a job or loved one, as well as significant difficulties in finding someone you feel can relate to you-just to name a few.  Let's not forget the stigma that continues to surround mental health.

In December of 2022, they began creating the foundation with the same simple thought in mind-use this tragedy to help others. A non-profit, they never imagined creating, with hopes of removing some of the financial and environmental barriers as well as some of the stigma surrounding mental health.  A non-profit that while never imagined has helped each of them channel their grief into something positive.

In May of 2023, it became official.
